Is there a machine that does all types of binding?
There are several types of binding machines, although more of an investment, that have interchangeable dies, allowing you to punch several different hole formats. Interchangeable dies, along with various attachments, allow some machines to binding documents using multiple formats.
Are there any fully-automatic comb binding machines?
All comb binding machines require some type of human interaction, although some higher-end comb binding machines have electric punches and other features that speed up the comb-binding process.
Which comb binding machine is considered the most reliable?
This is a hotly contested question. There is no single machine that is considered the "most reliable." It is, however, a good assumption that a metal-constructed machine will last longer than a plastic-constructed machine.
What types of covers can I use with my comb-bound document?
Comb binding machines can use most types of card stock as a cover. We have a great selection of binding covers available here.
Is there a difference between plastic and wire binding?
Comb and wire binding are two of the most common binding formats used today, but they use entirely different supplies. The type you use depends entirely on your taste.
Can I use my wire on a plastic comb machine?
You can use a comb binding machine to punch the hole pattern for wire binding, but only if you use Spiral-O wire. Spiral-O wire uses a 19-hole punch patter that is compatible with comb binding hole patterns. You will still need, however, a wire closer to finish the process.
Are there combo machines that do both comb and wire binding?

Can I use coil/spiral supplies with a comb binding machine?
Unfortunately the hole patterns are not compatible.

What comb binding colors are available?
We carry most traditional comb binding colors, such as black, white, blue, read, green, clear and brown. Other colors are available, depending on the diameter of the comb binding supply you are using. We can also get custom-color combs upon request.
