If you are a print shop, a copy center or a business that needs to fold literally thousands of sheets of paper per day, you need to use a commercial paper folding machine. Every-day folding machines simply cannot get the job done without wearing out prematurely. When the topic of high-volume folding machines is brought up, Duplo is typically involved. One great manual setup machine you may want for your folding jobs is the Duplo DF-755 paper folding machine.

The first thing you should know about the Duplo DF-755 is the high build quality. The fold plates, exit tray, feed tray and chassis are all made from durable metal components. The machine itself is 71 pounds shipped. While unboxing isn't difficult, you will need two people to lift this machine up and position it. You can feel its quality simply by the weight in it's body.
The Duplo DF-755 is a high quality machine, capable of creating all the folds you will need to create. Folds include the letter fold, accordion fold, single fold, half accordion fold and a variety of custom folds. Because the plats are manual, custom folds are very easy to set up.
This folding machine is a manual setup design. This means you will need to take a minute or two adjusting the folding plates prior to folding. Folds are clearly marked on the folding plates. Simply locate the fold you want, loosen the adjusting knob and slide the folding plate back or forth. Two adjustments are required, one on the top folding plate and the other on the bottom. This machine is very easy to set up. You only need to loosen one dial on the plate to adjust the machine. Once you have locked in the fold, a dial located on the end of the folding plate can be turned right or left to fine tune the machine (if necessary).
While this is a manual setup machine, the folding is all done by the machine. A motor powers some feed rollers and folding rollers. Simply place a stack of up to 500 sheets of paper in the feed tray. Once the machine is turned on, the feed rollers will peel a sheet off the top of the stack and pull it in. The sheet then continues the folding process by bouncing off of the folding plates and folding between rollers. Because friction is used in the folding process, jams can occur when glossy, coated or slick paper is used. I recommend sending in a sample prior to purchasing any friction-feed machine if you plan on using glossy or coated paper.
