The HPD film fuses to the surface of ID cards. This allows the film to easily conform to a wide variety of cards, regardless of ridges and indentations created by electronics. The LC version of the HDP5000 uses a special laminate overlay that adds extra protection to printed cards, preventing abrasions and wear.
