The MBM Simplimatic almost looks like a white cube, especially when all compacted up and in storage. The almost Apple-like white blends in nicely with existing office decor. This folding machine is definitely one of the more aesthetically pleasing folding machines we offer. The dials, controls and various components are all easy to access and use.
One of the biggest annoyances people have with manual folding machines is the folding plates. The Simplimatic has done away with traditional folding plates. Gone are the thumb screws and fine-tuned adjustments. This machine can be set up by simply turning a dial, found on the side of the machine. Once you have dialed in the fold, the machine can be fired up and begin folding paper.
Another annoyance many people have with folding machines is the noise. The Simplimatic has enclosed folding plates, which helps to muffle the noise output of the machine. This makes the MBM Simplimatic an excellent choice for in-the-office paper folding.
One of the biggest causes of jams in a paper folder is static electricity. As paper is printed on, as it is handled and as it runs through a machine, it begins to accumulate static. This static charge causes individual sheets of paper to stick together. As a result, paper folding machines can accidentally pull in multiple sheets of paper, resulting in a paper jam.
