Hi, I am looking for an automated shrink wrap machine to shrink wrap books – textbook size hardcovers. I need to do approximately 50-300 books per day – on average maybe 100 per day. I just started researching these and saw some on your site for around $2500, which is more within our budget. Are those ones not automated?
Answer
We have the ideal system for you that’s almost completely automated. It’s the GHL PP1622 Combo Shrink Wrap System. You can view the machine’s video demo here. Unfortunately, even the most basic version of the model PP1622 well exceeds your set budget. For a smaller investment of about $2,500, we recommend the Minipack Galileo Shrink Wrap Machine System.
This is a terrific shrink wrapper, but it is not fully automated. You must insert the books into the shrink wrap film sleeve and then pull down the hood to complete the shrink wrap process. The Galileo is a very popular model and comes highly recommend for shrink wrapping textbooks.
