Product Overview: Packaging movies, art, photos and even food for retail sale doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg. There are plenty of affordable packaging options including I-bar sealers. One great I-bar sealer that you may want to consider using is the Traco SuperSealer shrink wrap machine. This compact sealer can help you with your packaging needs from start to end. Is this the right choice for you? Traco has been around in business for over two decades and is well known for their line of shrink wrap machines, centerfold shrink film, domed shrink bags and much more. It uses centerfold shrink film, which is a long roll of film that has been folded over once prior to being rolled up. This style of film is the most popular used on I-bar and L-bar shrink wrap systems. It is extremely popular because a centerfolded roll of film only requires two passes of the I-bar sealer to fully package a product. Using the Traco SuperSealer is remarkably easy. Simply plug in the machine (UL, ULC and CE Approved), place your product in a centerfolded bag, seal the right and bottom sides and run a heat gun over the film. The heat will cause the film to contract and will tightly cling to the product. This method of packaging is commonly used with video games, books, CDs, DVDs, packaging pamphlets, overwrapping boxes and even for packaging bars of soap, boxes of chocolates and more. While the Standard SuperSealer is designed for use with centerfold shrink film (found here), it can also be used with shrink wrap bags (found here) and domed shrink bags (found here). As long as it is shrink film, this machine can seal it shut and the include HotShot heat gun can shrink the film down. These machines range in size, from 13" up to 40". This includes the SS-13SS (13"), the SS-18SS (18"), the SS-24SS (24"), the SS-32SS (32") and the SS-40SS (40"). Many people that shop for I-bar sealers are concerned about buying the correct size. Just be aware that a longer I-bar sealer can still be used with smaller rolls of film and can still be used with packaging smaller items. The added length just means you can package larger items later down the road. These I-bar sealers can be used with traditional PVC shrink film as well as food safe Polyolefin shrink film. This system has been used with film from 60 up to 120 gauge film without a problem.
