One of the most versatile and multi-purpose substrate cutters you can buy is the Foster Keencut Simplex line of cutter bars. These cutters replace the Practik and come in cutting lengths from 40" up to 120". These cutters use a utility knife style blade to cut woven fabrics, corrugated plastics, film, paper, tissue, vinyl, foamboard and much more. The wide cutting length, and the ability to cut a wide range of material, makes the British-made Keencut Simplex very popular in manufacturing plants, printing presses and more. Using this cutter is very easy. It features an easy load system for changing out blades and the cutting head itself rolls along smooth bearings for added simplicity. These cutters are known for accuracy, even on the longer 120" models. Depending on the blade used, the Simplex can cut material from 3/8" up to ½" thick.
