Troubleshooting Guide for the Destroyit Model 4107 Industrial Paper Shredders
MalfunctionCause/Remedy
Standby is not lighting up/machine does not start.
  • Door/bale ejecting guard is open.
  • Main switch is off.
  • Emergency button is pressed.
  • Key switch is vertical.
  • Machine is not plugged in.
  • Fuse.
  • Machine is overloaded, the motor protection switch releases the machine after approximately two minutes.
Motor hums and has no power.
  • One phase is missing, ensure that voltage is on all three phases.
Machine switches off during normal operation.
  • Shredder bag/baler is full - empty shredder.
  • Machine is overloaded frequently - check fuse.
  • Machine is overloaded - the motor protection switch releases the machine after approximately two minutes.
