How many pages will you be binding?
This is the most important question you can ask yourself. You never want to purchase the wrong diameter of comb and end up unable to bind your book. Determine how many sheets you will be binding and look at the "number of pages" category under our supply index (found here). This will help you determine the size of comb binding element you will use. Comb binding supplies range in size from 3/16-inch up to 2-inches.
Which color do you want?
Many people want to get a color that will look good with the book they are binding. We offer comb-binding supplies in a wide range of colors. If you are undecided on a color, black is your best bet. Most people purchase black binding combs for universal binding. This is because black will go with just about anything. Some custom colors are available. Comb binding is one of the least expensive and most durable binding formats out there. All you really need is a machine and the supplies. Some people, however, like to include a binding or report cover with their bound book. We offer a great selection of cover stock and clear covers, which you can find here. All comb binding machines can punch through cover stock and clear covers.
